Because Maveon includes social features like following, reactions, and user-generated content, Apple rates it 13+ in most regions, with a small number of countries applying their own local ratings boards. On Google Play, Maveon is rated PEGI 3.

Content overview

Maveon is a travel companion app that helps you discover restaurants, hotels, flights, and activities, and connect with friends through profiles, following, and shared trips. It does not contain any violent, sexual, or otherwise graphic content. The 13+ minimum age comes from these social and user-generated content features, not from any mature content within the app itself.

Regional ratings

Users only see the age rating that applies to their country or region on the App Store. Most regions use Apple’s own rating; a few apply a local ratings board instead.

Content categories

  • No violence, realistic or otherwise.
  • No sexual content or nudity.
  • No profanity or crude humour.
  • No depictions of alcohol, tobacco, or drug use.
  • No gambling or simulated gambling.
  • No horror or fear-inducing themes.
  • No cartoon or fantasy violence.

On the App Store, this is reflected in Apple's questionnaire under content involving other users, which drives the 13+ minimum. On Google Play, it is reflected as the content descriptors Users interact (social features like following and reactions) and In-app purchases (Maveon Pro).

User-generated content

Maveon allows users to create a profile, follow other travelers, and save or share places and trips. User-generated content is limited to travel-related data such as trip names, locations, notes, and photos. Content sharing and social features are subject to our Terms of Service.

In-app purchases

Maveon offers optional in-app purchases (Maveon Pro subscription). These are standard transactions through the App Store or Google Play and do not constitute gambling or loot boxes.

Location access

The app requests location access to show nearby restaurants, hotels, and attractions. Location data is used locally to provide search results and is not used for any age-sensitive purpose.
